Roundabouts

The roundabout of life
has it's ups & it's downs,
it's left's & it's right's
it's smile's & it's frown's
it's airs & it's graces
it's snares in faces
the plights that cause flights
cause fights
that make you discern the cycle's
the different wheels titles.

The roundabout of existence
the love life that has insistence

It's enticing me in
it's got me in a spin.

All the feeling's that I go through
& all the label's that I make true

The whirlpool draws me ever nearer
its tornado wants me to see things clearer
yet I just want to judge
I don't like the nudge
that my perception may have to shift
& I will have to drift
into the abyss of not having the answer
so I spiral swirling here & there
like I no longer care
accepting that the roundabout of life will shape my being
beyond the vision that I have been seeing.
